No faceup yet, but he arrived today so I had to take pics.

So after much waiting, and much stress today, Varuna is here. I've wanted a Lotus Near for so long, and when DD Anne announced the final version, I had to grab one before it was too late. I'm so glad I did cause he's pretty epic, in a tiny bundle. (For those wondering, he's as small as all my tiny kids)

Characterwise, Varuna is loosely based off the Vedic god of the same name. He is the God of night, morality, and has the ability to grant immortality. As a result he is the inadvertent creator of vampires.
Kostya meets him whilst meditating on the astral plane, and is the only one who can see him. (though right now the other tinies are pretty interested in him /paradox)

I need to get his faceup done, but I don't want to let go of him cause I enjoy him about so much even without a faceup.

I've had that problem with a lot of dolls. I have to keep reminding myself I'll love them more with faces. Considering he's a little god, you can probably get away without one. He's one of the rare ones I think can pull off a no-faceup.

Oh wow, his arms! D8 Do you have any pictures of how they work? (Like, how they look with no sleeves and stuff?)

No I don't sorry. As you can see from the picture, the arms all slot into the one ball joint (see the little grooves?). That joint is like a big shoulder ball joint, which then connects to the torso. It took me so long to dress him I don't think there will be any pics without his clothes on for awhile. His hands have to be taken off to put the armwarmers on. x.x

Oh, wow, I see it now! So you can move each arm up and down in the slots individually?

Yep, though you need to be careful cause while one arm is up, the one next to it usually has to be down, or it puts too much stress on the hooks inside the joint.

Oh I think I'm in love with a doll lol. Maybe I'm slow in looking around but his arms are the most unique things I've seen for these dolls. I cant wait to see him with the face up done :D Aw it makes me want one so bad now!!!
