Who would have thought that I would find a place where my love of dolls and heian era fashion are together under the one roof!
The Kyoto Costume Museum has an amazing set recreating scenes from the Tale of Genji, with heaps of dolls in heian era clothing. It was like someone did all the set building for me and I just had to take pretty doll photos!
