When I bought Nacho off Aeryn the first thing he needed was a new wig, so I thought I'd make my own! I bought some angora mohair and alpaca fibres and ended up having enough that Aeryn could make little!Nacho a matching one too! It's a messy job, and the house is covered in so much hair right now you'd think we had a pet, but I think it was worth it. Definitely a learning experience.

Then Aeryn gave him a new faceup. :3 Now to get him some new eyes and make him some more clothes!

Nacho - Soom Tan Chalco

Faceup by *hiritai, clothes and wig made by me.

wow! This is a really lovely wig :D
I love how you made the parting!<3
I'm currently trying to make a mohair wig for my boy, but I've had such a hard time finding tutorials and facts about wigmaking.
I looked at the tutorial you linked to, and it seems great, thank you for sharing!
I have one question though, that little "crochet hook" what do you use that for? ^^

Thank you! The part was hard and I'm not 100% happy with it. Hopefully I do a better job next time I try.
I didn't use a crochet hook, but I did use a skewer to press the glued part of the hair against the wig cap, so that my fingers didn't stick to it and everything else! XD

Okay ^^
I've tried to do wigs 2 times before, but the parting always ends up looking really bad D:
Did you "fold" the hair somehow to make it look as if it grew out of the head, or how did you make it look so realistic? ^^

Yeah kind of, for the top layers I glued it so that it folded back on itself. So the ends of the hair that I'm gluing are pointing downwards, instead of upwards.. if that makes sense? It's hard to explain without making a kind of diagram.
